When a protected exterior calls for extraordinary interior solutions. A family of five needed an extra bedroom so that each of their three children could have their own room.

In a protected building an extension was not an option. Therefore the interior is designed as one large piece of architectural furniture with integrated solutions for storage and stay. The bedroom needed was found in the living room, shaped as a curved alcove.

The entire project is characterized by its curves in molded oak. Graceful as in the world of ballet where the term “arrondi” is used to describe a rounded movement with the hand.

This project was realised for a private client in Risskov, Aarhus.
