Frier Architecture has designed a new sideboard and a coffee table.The light and dynamic wooden tables are called ‘Antilope’ and is designed by Marie and Line Frier as part of the interior for ‘Livsrum Odense’

Hinnerup Kollegiet building site

The building process of the new dwellings for elderly with autism at Hinnerup Kollegiet
has officially begun. The first sod was turned on the 9th of october.

The construction of ‘Livsrum Odense’ designed in cooperation with Wienberg Architects is in its final stage, Frier Architecture is looking forward to presenting the project at the official opening on November 22. 2013.

Frier at “Building Green”

We are pleased to announce that the new architectural system for energy-renovation that we are developing for Hi-Con A/S will be exhibited at ‘Building Green’ in Forum Copenhagen on the 9. – 10. of October 2013.
The system fuses the smooth adjustable quality of textiles with the structural qualities of concrete in a furnishing of the facade allowing for an increased level of sensuous architectural detailing in energy-renovation such as terraces, sun shading, textures, cantilevers, greenery etc.

Again Marie’s teaching at the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology at Aalborg University has resulted in a public exhibition, this time at Friis in Aalborg.This year Line has planned the exhibition together with the students since Marie is on maternity leave. The exhibition displays 5 installations interrelating architecture, furniture and construction, and is the result of a new course developed for the 1st semester Master students.

A chair can invite us to sit up straight and focused as on a lecture stool, it can embrace us as a soft upholstry of a lounge chair; it can also direct our attention towards other persons, perhaps even imply a kiss as in the ‘tete á tete’. In exploring the architectural potential of the furniture scale it has been Marie’s idea with the course and exhibition to attribute the same subtle nuances of sensuous invitations into the architectural scale.
